In October,
Delta Kappa Epsilon sued the private school in Hamilton over a dispute
about a new housing policy.
The school's policy required students to live in university-owned
housing.
It also stated Greek organizations must sell their houses to the school in order to retain recognition as a campus organization.
Delta Kappa Epsilon refused to sell its house to Colgate and filed suit.
But a state Supreme Court judge dismissed the lawsuit this week, saying that the university was within its legal rights and did not have to consult the student body before changing its policies.
